It's not enough that artificial intelligence and robotics are exploring the future, but now we're talking about sex robots and how they're going to change things. Does anyone else see a problem with this? AI itself has already been seen in various movies as a dangerous thing, especially if the end goal is to give them self-awareness. Humanity is messy, it's difficult, and it's sometimes embarrassing. The sex robot sounds like an easy thing to do for those who can't interact with humanity on the same level, but it's also kind of sad, in a way.
A person would have sex with a piece of metal covered in a fake silicone skin, with a large number of sensors installed to give the idea that they "smell" anything and can anticipate when the person is on. the point of "finishing one's business". It's just disturbing since the next thing you can imagine will be what amounts to real interactions and emotions that will essentially make the AI an unpredictable and maybe more human machine... Is that really what we have need? It's almost like people haven't seen movies like Terminator, Matrix, or even Blade Runner. Every time in these movies, when humanity thinks they're taking a big leap forward with AI, it seems like something's wrong and the control people thought they had slips away from them as fast as they got it. hit. Why in the world do humans think it's okay to make a programmed robot that can sense things and eventually break free from its robotic bonds?
However, sex robots seem a bit evil, but there are probably a lot of people out there who are at least trying to say they've done it. The creator of this movie is very outspoken about it, but his wife, anyway, sees it as part of the job. She's a very understanding person who would view their husband's actions with a robot as nothing more than work-related. The moral of what they do isn't the full picture though, it's the idea that they think they're making an affordable love doll for those who want the experience. Has anyone ever seen what these things cost? Just doing a quick search reveals that they usually go for thousands of dollars each. How affordable is it for the average person? It's a definite case of "every man for himself," but creating sex robots is a little disturbing, not to say scary in a way when you hear them talk.
